Joining WVT Communications Group

In August 2011, Alteva was acquired by WVT Communications Group (NASDAQ: WWVY), a cloud communications holding company. Following the closing, Alteva immediately began integrating its operations with WVT Communications Group’s existing cloud-based VoIP provider, USA Datanet. This strategic move will help the newly merged company significantly strengthen its CLEC business and UC Division, as well as expand its cloud strategy for UC and hosted applications for small, medium and large enterprise customers. The executive teams of Alteva and WVT Communications Group were integrated and now jointly manage the merged operation. David Cuthbert serves as COO of WVT Communications Group and President of Alteva and USA Datanet. Louis Hayner serves as Chief Sales Officer, Mark Marquez serves as Chief Network Officer, and Alteva founder, William Bumbernick continues to contribute as Chief Innovation Consultant to WVT Communications Group, Alteva and USA Datanet.

The combination of a steady cash flow to fund future acquisitions, along with Alteva’s strong channel, superior sales and marketing acumen, and an efficient platform for dispensing cost-effective hosted communications services allows WVT Communications Group to be well positioned for future growth in its revenues, profitability and market share in one of the communications industry’s fastest growing segments.
